The ship was great. Plenty of nice places to hang out. Especially Two70 Cafe. The varied food options and locations were nice. Only recommendation would be to have more filler stations at various locations for those tithe the refreshment, soda, and drink packages. Sometimes the lines to refill soda were long due to only being located at Sorrentos or Windjammer.
Service was excellent. Entertainment was very good, especially Stephani Parker’s Whitney Houston tribute performance. Found that not any one space was too crowded except for the music hall so it was easy to find a place to relax. It took 5 minutes to get through check in at Cape Liberty and boarding occurred an hour early. Food was good and had varied options. The esplanade is smaller than other ships I’ve been on so can get crowded easily during shopping sales. The only challenge we’re getting elevators. It seemed to take forever for one to arrive at your floor as they were either all going up or down at the same time. Ate at Jaimes and Chops. Both are excellent. Definitely go for the lasagna and lamb chops at Jamie’s. The salmon and steak at Chips were excellent. I didn’t do main dining as I didn’t want to dress up but did windjammer most nights. Good varied selection and was never too crowded. Was always able to find a seat
The cabin is a decent size with plenty of storage. Suit cases fit easily under the bed. Closets had plenty of space for an 8 day cruise. The larger extended balcony was great. Plenty of room for two people. The little couch was hard as a rock however so barely used.
Check in only at Bayonne. Was fast. Took less than 5 minutes to check in and go to the waiting area.
Having been to Florida numerous times I took the opportunity to enjoy the ship with less folks onboard
Be aware there are weight restrictions on almost every excursion. Being a large person at 400lbs I was overweight for every excursion. All excursions were 300lbs or less. Just an FYI
Just enjoyed the beautiful weather and beach.
