-Dining service was extremely slow - for all meals. Got tired of hearing "I'm so sorry". Not enough attention to refreshing water or beverages.
-Food was better than AMERICAN on Mississippi. Why doesn't kitchen have coffee machine for cappuccino or latte or espresso?
-Good excursions - but buses packed with 50 people for average 45 minute or longer rides to sights; ship missed several arrival times that delayed excursions; too much emphasis to get passengers back to ship before meals which cut into excursion time
Having to pay a 'single supplement' you would expect a decent room. The room had no door to the balcony. A twin bed with 2 chairs? Why 2 chairs? Minimal closet space.
The dock is 45 minutes from downtown. No services around port. Another ship from ACL 'side-tied' to our ship; their passengers walked through our ship; I could reach over the balcony and shake hands with passengers on other ship.
The ship docked with fishing boats (unloading their catch. So, you can't imagine the smells we dealt with. No services near dock. No shuttle provided to get passengers to Maritime Museum or other places in Astoria.
However, the tour to Clatsop and Cape Disappointment was very good
