Just returned from the cruise, so I will start off with the positives. The discovery 2 is a smaller, well maintained ship that have hard working staff that provide a level of service. The itinerary was very good and each port Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico offered something for everyone. Now the bad and I will start with actually the worse food that I have EVER had on any of the numerous cruises I have been on. Bad enough to have made me spend the last 2 days in my stateroom, and while returning on my flight yesterday there were a few on my flight who were suffering as well. The rooms while clean, the bed was nothing short of terrible. A rake would have been equally as comfortable. The entertainment did offer a night with a former member of drifters Steve v king. By far the best entertainment I have seen on a cruise. The ship is primarily a British based cruise so they seem to cater to that travel base. I will not be traveling on marella cruise line again.
