This was our 11th MSC cruise, our 10th in Yacht Club, our first time on Grandiosa. Our flight was delayed due to wind at Rome Airport. On arrival we were greeted by MSC for our transfer. We waited a while for additional passengers and we eventually left with two others. The driver was safe and drove well. We were late boarding, however, due to bad weather the ship was staying in Rome due to the bad weather, I was particularly pleased about this as they were not taking any chances with the weather and I believe it was the right decision. We went straight through check in and straight to our room. It was a beautiful room, lovely comfortable bed and great bathroom. Our itinerary was changed due to bad weather, but we sailed into sunshine all week. The staff were fabulous and couldn’t have been friendlier. We ate at the Yacht Club restaurant, twice at the Butchers Cut, and twice at the pub. The pub is great for a drink and snack, a good alternative if you don’t fancy a meal. The ship is immaculate and the service was excellent. So good, we are going again!
