We we're looking forward to a fun, relaxing cruise. Instead we got 5 days on a B-level floating mini mall. Let's discuss 'refurbished'. There is nothing new about this ship. Our rooms were dated, musty and stained. Likewise with the corridors, and facilities. We encountered mould problems in the bathroom, rock hard beds, and stained... everything.

Some how the rooms are the highlight of the ship. The food was completely industrial, greasy, plastic, nasty, reheated. We mainly ate at the Windjammer, the main dining hall, where a heavy grease hung in the air due to poor ventilation. There was a respectful amount of reheated food to gorge yourself and try to salvage the trip.

If the food, and rooms haven't scared you off, I'd invite you to the promenade. A boring and outdated bridge/entertainment area. Get ready for shopping at Michael Kors, boring pop/rock music from cover bands, and a selection of shows that where inspired by high school variety nights.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Balcony

The cabin was dated. You get old carpets, furniture (all basic to begin with) from the 90s. Your couch and bed are both dated and uncomfortable. Everything is earth tone beige/brown/green. The room was so depressing and gross. I travel for work, and the rooms are closer to 2 star hotel than 3 in most mid sized cities.

The worst part is the bathroom. We were expecting small due to limited space, but this thing was tiny, harshly lit, had black mould growing on the wall near the shower (yes, we mentioned it), the smell was putrid.
