This was our first cruise. We enjoyed the dinners and evening shows but were disappointed that there were no events or clubs aimed at the 18-20-year-old group. Our kids were too old for the 17 and under clubs and too young for the 21 and over bars and Serenity Club. The Hot tubs were very 'cool' on all the decks except the Serenity Club and my 18-year-old was not allowed to join me! The fitness club was nice but was not open later in the night after the dinner hour. We were not able to work out if we went on an excursion and then sit-down dinner on the ship. One more evening limitation!
The balcony cabin was larger than expected and one of the saving graces of the cruise. The stewards and waitstaff were amazing.
We did not like the masses of people and always having to waite or be 'managed' by the schedule and 'sold to' every place we walked, especially on the 'fun day at sea' and in the ports. Our favorite part of the cruise was the excursions away from the ports but as with most of the cruise, everything was 'extra.' We may consider a cruise again, but definitely not on such a large ship, that rocked substantially, and with less structure and more inclusive. I think the final straw was being told we could carry off our luggage to exit sooner and to be out of our cabins early just to sit for hours before level 7 was called...after the checked luggage people disembarked!!! It was a true challenge to continue to 'go with the flow!'
Very nice. Great sleeping and ample room for 4 people to room in.
Scuba diving excursion was canceled due to undercurrents. Felt very trapped at the port without a backup plan. Ended up at the ports' beach which was VERY commercialized.
