We never cruised MSC. We choose this cruise because it was a great price, but you get what you pay for!

Positives: Great room, Fantastic Entertainment, Wonderful dining staff in Black Crab, and a great room steward.

Negatives: On embarkation day only the buffet was open for 4500 people on board at the same time it was chaos, long lines and no place to sit! No toilets for several hours one day ship wide, and then our room another time without toilets as well. Poor embarkation on ship and debarkation off ship. The port was fine. We went to disembarkation meeting and when we disembarked it was totally different from what we were told! Minimal dining options. 3 specialty restaurants (only open in evenings), main dining room and buffet. No additional places to get food. Buffet overcrowded and same everyday. It was chaos. Long lines not enough tables. On elegant nights which there were 2, people came in shorts and jeans no one said a word. Other cruises would tell dining guest their dress was not appropriate that evening and the buffet was open for them. Guest relations extremely poor. Would say they were sorry but never had a reason why it happened. They rarely picked up the phone when you called from your room and you would have to go down to get things done. Lobby area not big enough for events planned. Kids were in adult areas including adult pool area and bar and casino with parents. Staff never said a word. Ship caters to evening entertainment to wee hours of morning not much during the day. Spa was OK bought thermal 7 day package on line unimpressed did not use it once all week did not compare to other cruise lines we have been on. In Nassau it was Boxing Day (holiday) most things were closed cruise line should know this. St Marten great but only stayed 4 hours. These are just the highlights. We are not ones to complain and have never complained on the other ships we have been on Princess, Holland and Royal Caribbean. Many people we met were very unhappy with this cruise on the Davina. I cannot see myself gong on an MSC ship in the future. I'm sure many had a wonderful time and I asm happy for them, unfortunately we did not.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

We were very pleased with our cabin. It was nicely laid out and the bathroom was roomy. It was very clean.

Port Reviews

Nassau

The cruise line should have known it was a holiday most things on the island was closed.
