We chose this cruise because we heard good things about it and that it was one of MSC's new ships. We also wanted the international experience. The ship is beautiful and have a luxury touch. It is also huge which baffles me because there wasn't enough room for people to walk around. People constantly bumping into you and you can not move around freely. Forget about going through the buffets. We often felt overwhelmed there.
The food was average. Dinner was nothing surprising. They didn't have much vegan options and it seemed like the same meal pretty much everyday. I've been a cruiser for many years and never experienced gastrointestinal issues until this cruise. So, be careful of what you choose to eat.
The entertainment was unsatisfying. The performers for the shows did a good job but we were not crazy about the shows except for one. Which is very odd for me because I love performances. Every night we werehoping it would get better. We went to one Cirque de Soleil show (the second one we booked was cancelled due to the weather) it was good however, short and the drink that they offer was terrible and watered down. Many people left their drinks practically full at the end of the show. In regards to the activities around the ship, there wasn't much to do and they were not up to par. We tried as many activities as we could and left unsatisfied. Instead of having places for people to dance, they have dance classes. The Club Vibes event is the one that really got me. We opened the door to the room and there was a little techno (not very good techno) playing and 3 people just sitting down. We didn't even step foot in there. The director could of done better.
