We chose this cruise because of the wonderful Mediterranean and Adriatic itinerary which began in Rome. For 21 of our 28 days we sailed into great ports and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The last seven days we relaxed as we sailed back to Fort Lauderdale. A dream trip to be sure.

We have been home for almost three weeks, and have had time to reflect on our experience. The ship is lovely because it is new, but the layout is mostly tried and true. It is almost exactly like the Regal and the Royal. Nothing innovative that we could see, but there's nothing wrong with that. Both those ships are terrific.

The food, as other reviewers have expressed, was indeed a real disappointment. On this ship, the food served in the dining room, was merely okay. From temperature to quality, sadly something is wrong. We never eat in the buffet so can't comment on that venue. The pizza near the pool was greasy. Alfredos was fine but the ovens broke down for a period of time. We found the food in the International Cafe to have been significantly downgraded from previous Princess ships. Sad. Our standard balcony cabin has only one chair and very little counter space. Other than that it was great to be on a new bed.
