Hope this helps someone looking to cruise and helps them improve...
the fact that the vessel could not dock at the private island - and that a poor excuse( a lie) was presented - rough seas and wind - even though it was obvious that the sea was calm when we looked out the balcony. Surely, the leadership could have easily presented an alternative to another port in the Bahamas - since it appeared that the decision was made earlier. Besides, no remuneration was provided for the sea day - whilst the Cruise director attempted to sell more activities. As a frequent cruiser with Carnival - I can assure you that in these situations we were always provided credit and docked at an alternative port for a shorter duration.
Service sucked- the service staff at the restaurant didnt seem to understand the menu - which was jam packed with bland food - no matter what we tried. the serving staff had no idea what was being served and when asked - they would just respond with the word 'What?" and repeated what was on the menu. Surely, you must adapt to the North american palette in some way? why not consider the menu on Carnival for a comparison?
