Our group consisted of an 82 yo, 60 yo, 56 yo, and 2 x 14 yo. We had 2 cabins. Embarkation was straight forward with no problems. Muster was a shambles. Our 2 cabins were split into different areas (was told families would be kept together) and could not see or hear the instructions clearly. The area had been painted and it wasn't dry so we all had big sticky grey paint clumps on our shoes. The cabin with 2 people was a great size. The cabin with 3 people was very cosy (suitcases on floor and table). No exhaust fan in bathroom . Not enough space to hang wet swimming costumes etc. Signage around the ship was very poor. Cleaning staff was excellent. Dining room was great - variety, freshness, taste, staff. Dining hall was very good except the very long lines (82 yo found it very difficult standing for extended periods then juggling a meal plate, drink and walking stick to find a table). Entertainment was fantastic - piano bar (hot, small room with limited seating), bingo, stand up comedy, nightly show, trivia. Children were in the kids club (12-14) and were entertained with challenges, basketball, shuffleboard and made new friends. The water slide was a hit but very long lines as the green drop slide was only open on the last 2 days. They loved it! I played pokies and poker tournaments in the casino and gained points for a reward. I received a card that entitled me to up to 15 free drinks a day whilst in the casino. I rarely drink but thought whilst its free I would take advantage. Took about 20 mins for a waiter appear (the area is very small) and another 30 mins to receive my drink (I went to the bar to ask where my drink was). When I asked why it took so long he said I moved and he couldn't find me (no apology!). I had not moved as I was sitting with my sister talking and listening to the live music. I only ordered one other drink (for my sister) and didn't bother after that. The "reward" was a waste of time. The service / information desk was always very busy even at midnight (understaffed). We didn't book any shore excursions on the ship and made our own way on the islands which worked out great. Getting in and out of the tenders to go ashore were quite easy. Long waiting times in hot unshaded sun to board the tenders to go back to the ship was not comfortable. Dated décor.

Cabin Review

The cabin with 3 people was very cosy (suitcases on floor and table). No exhaust fan in bathroom . Not enough space to hang wet swimming costumes etc. Comfortable bed. Safe and fridge worked fine. Shower space very small. There was a smell (sewage?) in the hallway outside our cabin but fortunately it didn't seep into our room.
