We wanted as short cruise before the Holidays and this fit the bill. It was quite unexpectedly an inexpensive cruise and as the price dropped, our agent was able to get us a refund and then an upgrade to a midship balcony. The ship is older and was built to sail through the old Panama locks, but she is very well kept. The balcony room was a bit smaller than other Princess ships We have sailed on, but there was enough room for the two of us. Our steward did the minimum keeping the room clean. The food was a bit disappointing and my travel companions thought it might be because of how inexpensive the trip was. That being said, the waitstaff was wonderful. They made suggestions and made us feel as though we were the only ones in the dinning room with all the attention we received. The entertainment in the Princess Theater was excellent. We especially enjoyed the solo singer whose range went from pop to opera. The Princess Singers and Dancers performed two shows which we enjoyed. The weather was not cooperative. There were gale force winds each evening which made some of the on deck activities a bit difficult. Movies Under The Stars was bare bones, no cushions on the deck chairs, no bar service, or popcorn. Overall, we had a good time.
