While I understand why we missed Cozumel (and agree with the decision the weather was dangerous) absolutely NOTHING was done to make up for this fact. The "additional activities" were the same from the day before leaving us bored and feeling like the rest of the vacation was a waste of money. The onboard activities are too expensive, not interesting, or are those horrible seminars that prey on peoples insecurities - shame on them for having seminars about cellulite etc. The pool was too packed or never had enough water in it. The fitness center is too small to do anything but a cardio machine. The spa staff tries to sell you on products during the massages, which is not relaxing. Browsing the duty free jewelry I constantly had sales reps trying to talk to me - making me leave without a purchase because I was unable to look at the products I was interested in. The organization of getting off the ship at Costa Maya needs work. Those with excursions that leave almost immediately after docking should meet on the ship then be given priority disembarkment. We were in line early and still only caught our excursion as they were leaving. Had this happened, the vacation would have been ruined as we were not on the ship for the days at sea (the excursion itself was wonderful). The 15 dollar a day a person charge should just be included in the ticket price if it is a set fee. Overall, I do not have confidence that I am getting my money's worth with Norwegian and will likely not be booking with them again. I felt like most of the cruise someone was trying to sell me on something - this is not a vacation to me. However, the rooms were not bad, food was decent, and I must stay the staff were exceptional and the only redeeming quality.
