  • Sail Date: Dec 2019
  • Destination: the Western Caribbean
  • Cabin Type: Fantastica Balcony Stateroom

We took our family with five children between the ages of 1 and 9 with us on this Cruise in two fantastica balcony rooms. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The food was delicious from the main dining room and Buffet - Not one bad dish. Our head waiter and helper very efficient and friendly. The splash pad and water slides were very well done. The whole area was great for little kids.

The shows were very well done and all the kids sat through them quietly because they were entertained the whole time. Seats were very comfortable. The Dome area and inner Mall are beautiful with many areas to sit and enjoy the beauty. Did not feel too crowded even though the ship was totally full.

The balcony room was big enough for all seven of us to hang out in and the balcony was a decent size as well. The bathroom was big enough. There is plenty of storage all of our clothes and items in the room and bathroom. The room was always clean and our room steward was great.

Cabin Review

Fantastica Balcony Stateroom

Nice clean room with a large bed and couch that becomes bunk beds. Wonderful use of the space. There was a good amount of storage in the room and bathroom. The balcony had two chairs and a stool. It was an average sized and enough for all of us to hang out. The door to the balcony has a lock on the top and the handle itself is a locked. There is no way the younger kids could open it themselves, which put my mind at ease.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

Costa Maya

Went to Jamie's blue reef. Purchase the all-inclusive package online before going. Got a taxi just outside of port to take us. Was not expensive. Had a wonderful time at Jamie's. The smoothies for the children were great. They had strawberry, mango, lime and pina colada. The drinks for the adults were well made. They let me substitute dark rum in the Pina Coladas. Also had a few different types of beer and wine you could choose from. Lunch was also included. We were able to pick up what we wanted and they brought it out on a big platter. It was absolutely delicious. Their chips and guacamole appetizer it was also very good. Ask for their Tamarind sauce with it . Beautiful beach that was shallow for a while and clear. Perfect for our family with five kids. Will definitely go back next time.

Amazing snorkeling at West Bay Beach. Hired Rony's tours for a personal car for the day. They sent a driver and a guide. It only cost us $120 for a van for 7 people, including tip. They took us to Infinity Beach Resort at West Bay. The water was warm and clear. The resort pool was beautiful. We had a great spot the beach with chairs and tables. My husband and nine year old and 7 year old daughters were able to snorkel and see the most amazing things. Great videos of it on our Go Pro. The beach was calm enough for me to enjoy with our one, three and 5 year old well they were gone. The food was good but a little expensive. There mudslide was great. We would definitely go there again next time. We are looking into spending a whole week in Roatan. This is very surprising to us because we did not expect to love it so much.

Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve

Beautiful Island. The inner bay area had wonderful water that was clear and shallow for a while but a little bit cold. The food off the food trucks was good but the buffet was only open for a couple of hours and the line was too long. We had a great day walking around the island. The concrete path around was awesome because we were able to use a stroller the whole time.
