The Good -
Had an excellent roomy balcony cabin with largest shower and balcony have had in several sailings. Room steward also provided above average service, accommodating our schedule.
Food was much improved over recent Royal cruises. Diversity and quality in both dining room and windjammer much improved.
Embarkation and debarkation best have had in recent years.
The Not So Good - Entertainment was marginal, Grease was main show and not done very well, too long and too repetitive. Other shows frequently rescheduled or delayed due to technical difficulties. Of 2 comedians we saw, one was worst have ever seen and other not much better.
Too much of any venue is roped off for pinnacle, suite and key guests, sometimes as much as 20% of available seating.
The Bad - Scheduling for dining becoming ridiculous. "My time" earliest available 6:30PM and never available, or must endure long waits. Early scheduling for other dining very difficult to get. Dining room service deteriorating, staff apparently overloaded. One night was 2 hours between time we sat down and time we received desert, complaints to maitre-d ignored.
Disappointing Royal Promenade is focusing more and more on retail shops. Ice cream service is gone, cup cakes are gone, and 24 hour food section shrunk to a 3 foot display case with little diversity and/or variety.
Above average, with good value for money plus - see earlier comments.
