Sail Date: Dec 2019
Cabin: Aft-facing Balcony Stateroom

We chose this cruise as, being from the West Coast, LA is easier to get to than Florida.

We had the "free air" perk from NCL. In hindsight, we should have paid the deviation fee to come in a day early as it would have alleviated some stress, but it worked out fine, flights were direct, well timed, and on time.

Embarkation was a bit chaotic. By the time we got to the port via the NCL transfer, it was 1:30 pm and as it had been raining heavily, the port staff had tried to move as many passengers as possible into the covered area. Priority boarding was out the window, but the lines moved quickly and we were on the ship within a half hour.

Cabin Review

Aft-facing Balcony Stateroom

We were in an aft facing balcony for the first time. The balcony was large and the view was great, but I found the wake to be quite loud when sitting outside, so not sure I would opt for this again. Our cabin was on deck 15 and we did hear the noise from Spice H2O during their parties (quite loud), but the parties were relatively short and not every night, so we managed fine.
