We are avid cruisers ,over 30 under our belt, mostly Princess and Celebrity. We booked this as a getaway ,and a chance to try Norwegian. Well it did not start well, the port in San Juan can’t handle big ships and there was 2 in port, Epic and a Royal Caribbean . Traffic was atrocious. A 20 minute drive from the hotel ended up a 1 hr 40 min trip . When we did get off the bus at 1:40 pm there was along lineup. They were not letting anyone on! When we were on the bus waiting in the traffic ,we saw3 ambulances and hazmat vehicle rush to the epic. We had to wait in line in the sun for hours , no water until past 3 pm,,, disgusting! Boarded at 5:10 pm ,,,nice! We never got an explanation from the ship about what really happened, rumours abound about people dying on the ship. The ship just completed a transatlantic. We had an interior , it was small but adequate. The ship was beautiful . The pools were a joke! The main pools if you put them together they would be slightly bigger than your average backyard pool . The adult pool in the back of the ship was half the size of my pool. The water temp was a joke ,very warm ,not refreshing! For 4100 people this was also a joke! Food was average ,nothing exciting, Buffett had roasted chicken several times , boring ,one night they had turkey and no mashed potatoes! Staff looked overworked. Cabin cleaners were overworked 14 room versus 10 rooms on other lines. Bartenders were badly overworked. Staff in general were not happy! Entertainment was fantastic! Priscilla Queen of the desert was great! The Cirque show with dinner was great! The Cavern Club with the Epic Beatles was great! Burn the Floor was great! We made the best ,it was okay. It was a 7 day crowd, wont do that again,,lol!
Compact, did not like how the toilet and shower and sink were set up
