This was our first MSC cruise, having cruised exclusively with Royal Caribbean. Family members had cruised on the Seaside and recommended it. The price was right so we booked.
Technology: We tried booking shows the first day on the touch screens around the ship and they weren't working. We eventually were able to using the cabin TV. Most of the TV channels had no signal until the third day (CNN, ESPNs). The beer and wine dispensers in the deck 8 restaurant either didn't work at all or pushed out foam. Even staff couldn't get them to work and wound up getting us and others drinks from the bar. The MSC for Me phone app worked well.
Excursions: We booked 2 on our own and 1 through the ship. We picked a short one so we could get back to the ship and finally get a deck chair. However, we had to wait in the heat in Grand Cayman for 40 minutes after it was supposed to leave, because the driver was late.
Bed was firm and very comfortable. Bathtub made the bathroom bigger which took away closet space. A lot of clothes wound up on the love seat. Strangest thing was the fixed glass tub partition, which covered only half the tub, and made showering without getting the floor wet a challenge
