This was our first river cruise and is a wonderful way to travel. We had a marvelous time and wanted for nothing! Our cabin was perfect and loved sitting on the balcony watching the scenery on cruising days. The crew were efficient, professional, friendly and oh, so accommodating. The food was delicious and the variety was amazing!!! Tried the chef's regional selection every evening and we were not disappointed! Also enjoyed the 24/7 coffee bar and pastries. We enjoyed every included excursion and loved that Viking uses local guides for every shore excursion that we took.

They had everything covered, whether it was bottled water when disembarking for an excursion, or providing umbrellas when raining.

We loved Carl, our cruise director. He had a great sense of humour, was very personable, knowledgeable and solved problems that we didn't even know happened!! We enjoyed his pre-dinner briefings every evening. Read more
