We chose this cruise because we cruise with carnival in the past and really enjoyed the experience we’ve had. We knew that this was going to be the inaugural cruise for the panorama and we’re super excited to get on board with a balcony room. Our experience all started off with our luggage being delivered and having a Broken shoulder strap caused by the luggage delivery service that carnival provides. While in route to Ensenada our first evening we had gone to sleep only to be awoken around 3:15 in the morning to water dumping into our room and onto our bed while we were sleeping. We called maintenance and they promptly moved us within the next 30 to 45 minutes to another balcony room. The on-duty supervisor said they would call us the next morning with some sort of compensation for the trouble we had gone through between the water dumping into our room and my back being delivered in a broken condition. They never called us and I actually had to go down the next morning and engage the contact only to have them give us a $50 meal coupon to bonsai sushi for the negative experience that we had. We gratefully excepted the meal coupon but also welcomed something more than just a meal coupon. Fast forward to later that evening where we went to check in for our anytime dining. We had a check in time for our meal at 5:45 PM we waited in line at the front of the dining hall for over 30 minutes and what seem to be absolute pandemonium trying to get into the dining area with people shoving to get to the front of the line. By the time we gpt seated, it took an additional 20 to 30 minutes to have anyone even acknowledge us at the small table at the furthest most rear part of the ship. After some water and bread we decided to just go back to the room and order room service which turned out to be a big mistake. Later that evening and into the early morning hours after consuming a Caesar salad in what looked like more of a soup, my wife started experiencing stomach pains which was followed by dry heaving and vomiting. For the next two days and last two days of the cruise my wife was stuck in the cabin in bed with what appeared to be a fever and flu like symptoms. She could barely get up on her own accord and was only able to get out for about an hour on the second day then right back to bed. When I made the infirmary aware of what was going on they told me to give her some aspirin which they charged me for. I’m not complaining about the ship but our experience was absolutely terrible. Carnival had every opportunity to make it right and they’ve only offered us $100 per person to use towards our next onboard credit. I am quite frankly disgusted with the lack of customer service we received or empathy for that matter and more than likely will not be cruising with carnival ever again.
