Our very good friends (a couple) that we grew up with asked us to join them. We are in our mid-fifties and we live on opposite coasts so it was a treat to spend almost two weeks with them. Both of us couples have been married almost thirty years so time to celebrate with the Royal Suite for us and Aqua Class for them! No regrets with the RS ( see below).

Have been on a Celebrity cruise back in 2007 on Galaxy in Penthouse and was surprised that this cruise was an even older crowd. (I felt like a kid alot of the time!). Have been to the Caribbean lots so wasn't too concerned about excursions. Did one in St Lucia and hubby who is a master scuba diver did two dives-one in St Croix and one in Barbados. This cruise was more about relaxing and being together. I know this ship is going in for a refurb in January and the new Retreat area for suite class will be a welcome addition since I would have appreciated a bit of a different pool experience. Not into the games and stuff plus too many loungers close together. The solarium pool is lovely but has a roof so no sun there and since I am from the Pacific Northwest I wanted to catch some rays! Mast Grill at pool has great burgers and hot dogs though.

Service was great and we appreciated the attention from our concierge Lara and butler Natalia. Special treats like a tour of the bridge were nice as well. I was underwhelmed by the Persian Gardens but my cruise mates loved it. I got an amazing massage and facial at the Canyon Ranch Spa.

Royal Suite

Very nice. The only way to travel on a cruise for us as we like to spread out and have a separate bedroom and lots of space.. Costs more but includes premium drink package, all dining experineces, butler, Micheal's Club, concierge, priority embarkation. Really enjoyed Royal Suite as we were traveling with other friends for a reunion and spent time watching Monday night football and entertaining in our suite!
