I have been on 5 cruises, on different ships. First time on Norwegian. If what had happened to my family did not happen, the cruise would have been below par anyway. The ship was average, Activities were good, Service was poor except for our steward. He was great. Dining was average to poor. Dinner was sent back several times at the specialty/upscale restaurants, 1 of 3 restaurants tried was good, 2 were poor. I was surprised. Balcony cabin was typical, no frills. Entertainment was good. Ports were not as expected, I have been to a lot of ports where you take a cab into town or on a tour. Most of the ports on this trip were owned by NCL not on the mainland but to get to the mainland, you had to take a ferry$$$ then a cab$$, etc.
The onboard spa services were terrible. Could have saved a ton of money and gotten a better massage in the ports for way less. The spa overlooked my appointment for the Man Package, I had to cancel after waiting 20 minutes beyond my appointment and I was charged for a haircut I did not receive. I was reimbursed eventually, but they argued with me that I got a haircut. I have not had a haircut in 20 years. It is obvious my hair was not cut. ???
Shore excursions: The Secret River was excellent, the ATV was ok to poor and terrible transportation to the site, Basically did the same short trail twice, 60 people in a line. Due to medical, I had to cancel 6 excursions, NCL is denying me a refund on 1 excursion.??
No frills, narrow, small but very clean. Great steward
Taxi to beach was good. Not much to do or see in Roatan, but was enjoyable
