Great way for a first time visit to parts of Southeast Asia. The cruise was perfect in most all aspects : a great and smooth embarkation and disembarkation processes, baggage handling and airport transportation; excellent staterooms design and amenities that beats most luxury hotel rooms; simplicity, quality and beauty of ship furniture and amenities everywhere; superb quality of food and service in restaurants; quality of most all excursions and guides and the excellence, professionalism and friendliness of all staff.

Some needed improvements in training of some of the restaurant staff to understand the menues to deal with special requirements of guests; in professionalism in dealing with complaints (not dismissing them) and to the logistics to some excursions (particularly the evening dinner and dance in Bali- was not up to Viking standards). I would also recommend changes to the Chef’s Table restaurant formula.

All in all, Viking Cruises are highly recommended.
