A group of 9 went on the November 8th Panama Canal Cruise. After the payment deadline and our money was collected in full, Norwegian announced that the stop in Costa Rica was cancelled and replaced it with Acapulco. We were all very disappointed and angry at the timing. There was nothing we could do. We were already scheduled to stop in 3 ports in Mexico and Costa Rica was my primary motivation for choosing this cruise. There was no weather or political issue and no explanation was offered. We believe that this change was financially driven.
Boarding was a nightmare. 2 hours of standing in a cattle line. The Bahamas was cancelled due to weather. Not Norwegian's fault - but we had so few stops scheduled to begin with.
As other reviewers have stated, the venue spaces are small and it became a real challenge to get a seat for the more popular shows. While we did make reservations for the only 2 shows that were available over a 16 day period, other performances - especially the comedy was ridiculous. We were told that we could not make reservations for these and that it was first come. That was wrong so we waited on a few long lines in hope of a seat.
I had the room to myself so it was ok. For a balcony room, it was very small and cramped with the bed in front of the only closet. My group had issues with this.
