First, let me start by saying that my wife and I have more than 15 cruises with Princess under our belts. Royal is simply the biggest of the ships we have sailed on with Princess. While I will always recommend Princess Cruises to someone, my future trip planned for next year on this vessel, we are cancelling.

Let me start with the creepiest thing about Royal and the Ocean Medallion experience....they put sensors in your cabin bathroom.

Ocean Medallion tracks your every move about the ship and allows them to data mine your activites. But do they really need to know how many times I use the bathroom in my cabin? Creepy.

Deluxe Balcony

Feels smaller than the standard balcony staterooms on ships such as Diamond, Sapphire, etc.

The furnishings were worn somewhat including some staining on the couch which clearly an attempt had been made to clean.

Our stateroom steward was helpful, cheerful and kept our room neat and tidy and my ice bucket filled. She was excellent.
