Liberty of the Seas was everything we expected, having sailed last year on Mariner of the Seas, which is very similar. Our daughters were first time cruisers, were very impressed from the start, kept changing our excursions as we went along, and as they got a better idea of what cruising was all about! The service was excellent - our stateroom attendant and our waiters were all great - everyone always had a smile on their faces, ready to accomodate our every request. Something important that we learned - Since 3 of us are prone to motion sickness, we had our dr. prescribe transdermscope patches to wear. Our oldest daughter's patch fell off in the middle of the week and she decided to go without. Well, on Friday night, we had more motion than normal and she did get sick. Took her to medical, they gave her a shot and pills, and she was fine in the morning. We learned that the doctors on the ships DO NOT RECOMMEND the patch for motion sickness - terrible side effects can occur, including stroke. Also, the pills they gave her for motion sickness can just be picked up at Guest Services, so you don't need a trip to medical to get them. A few comments about things I've seen posted before or were noteworthy: ***My Time Dining - does not mean you can just show up when you want to. You have to reserve your time. We reserved a standing time of 6:30 every evening, and didn't have to change it, but if you want to change it, you can, you just have to go to the My Time Dining desk and change it that day. Because we had the same time every night, we also had the same waiters all week, which was nice. It worked well for us. ***Leaving the ship at ports could be a little chaotic, with everyone trying to get off at the same time, coming down the stairs and elevators at the same time. One problem was that people are lined up in front of the elevators, and then when more people come off the elevators, instead of trying to find the end of the line, they just stop there, which causes people to get a little peeved. We were a little bit late arriving in Cozumel, so they let people on one particular tour off first, which also caused some hard feelings. This was probably the only thing that could have been organized better that we saw. ***Labadee, Haiti - probably my favorite. I had no idea what to expect there, but the place was beautiful. RC brought lunch to the island, there were large pavilions with tables, everything was just great. I rented a floating beach mat and we spent the day at Nellie's Beach just floating. Later, my husband the the girls rode wave runners. It was a very relaxing day. ***Cozumel definitely needs more work in the organization of tours, etc. When we got off the ship, there were 2 other ships there and it was total confusion trying to find your tour. ***We heard negative comments from a group of people on our tour at Cozumel saying it was their worst cruise ever, etc. I can't understand how they could even think that. Yes, sometimes, patience is required because of the numbers of people, etc. but we always felt that our service was impeccable and even when we had questions about our bill, they called us back immediately with the problem fixed. These people were the only ones we heard complaining, though. ***Enjoy meeting other people. It was nice chatting with people from other countries on our excursions and other places - made me think that if would leaders would leave everyone alone, we would all get along just fine.

All in all, a great experience, would highly recommend it to everyone!
