We have cruised 15 times not a lot for the very experienced, but this will be a non biased review. We heard good and bad from many reviews, but you do have to go and sea for yourself! Everyone has different tastes. We have cruised Carnival, Royal, Princess, Norwegian and now MSC for the first time. Our first impression was amazing and gorgeous ship she is. Probably one of the most beautiful we’ve been in very modern and up to date. Communication with other passengers was difficult because about 80% were foreign and some didn’t speak English.
Food... heard many bad reviews of the food being tepid or bland. I believe we are so used to American fast food that now we are eating food that has not been seasoned or cooked with spices, which I liked because I could put my own salt and pepper on. The food doesn’t taste processed but more fresh. The Butchers Cut Steak house was the absolute highlight for food! We also had Teppenyaki and food was good, Asian Market was Amazing also! The Hawaiian Crab-cakes were out of this world along with the Lava cake dessert!! The best out there... sorry Carnival but MSC has the title to Chocolate Lava Molten cake!! Entertainment was top notch beat on the Sea!
Pros
We had interior cabin 14059 for two nights .There was noise from banging, slamming doors and dragging stuff across floor between 10:30 pm till about 1:30 am then stopped. It started back up between 5:30-6:00 am. I couldn’t do 7 nights of 4 hrs of sleep!! We spoke to Guest relations and they very graciously moved us to an available 5th floor
Ocean view room. The room was much better. We booked guarantee interior Bella and will probably pick room from here on out.
Had not so good weather but the Island will be amazing when it’s all done the parade was cancelled and light show at light house still went in. We were first Hrand Opening boat there. A gorgeous amazing Ialand. It will grow into a great stop.
