We have sailed only once previously with RC on Ovation of the seas, from Sydney to New Zealand and back to Sydney, and had a great time so we decided to try the newly renovated Voyager of the Seas. No complaints whatsoever. What a disappointment this cruise was. The check in at Singapore was extremely unorganised. There are only two sets of elevators which for a ship of this size is inadequate. To make it worse at lease one elevator was out of order and the up-down indicators and chimes outside some of the others were not working. Don't know what RC did when Voyager was in for the renovations but nobody did much maintenance. Cabin, number 9557, was ok. The main dining room food was average at best, and the winjammer buffet the same. I have cruised many times on Carnival Spirit and rate its food much better than Voyager. Princess cruise lines (Majestic and Sun) food leaves Voyager for dead. Entertainment was good, no issue here. Good variety of guest acts as well as the RC performers. Listening to music in areas outside the theatre was terrible. Small crowded schooner bar at the front and a couple small bars along the overcrowded promenade on deck 5. Too much space taken up by shops and stalls flogging overpriced bags, jewelry etc Service from staff was good. Now my main gripe. I use a wheelchair and was told by RC that their tenders were suitable for wheelchairs. Unfortunately in the two tender ports, Yorkeys Knob and Airle beach, they used shore side tenders instead of those from the ship which were NOT wheelchair accessible. Had I been told this I would not have booked the cruise. Never again on this ship.
