We chose this cruise because they were offering free beverage package as well as free flights and specialty dinners. I did not realize they were also charging 3 times as much for the cruise so that one is on me.
Once we got our airline information I noticed that even though the ship returned to port at 7 AM our flight from LAX did not leave until 10:30 PM and we were not scheduled to arrive in Sacramento until after midnight. So NCL wanted us to sit at LAX airport for 10 hours and get home on the next day when it is a 5 hour drive to our home. I called them and they refused to change the flight so we opted to drive and stay at the HI in Long Beach with a park and sail package which cost 150.00.
Once we arrived onboard we immediately found out the ship had been involved with the norovirus outbreak the 2 preceding cruises and we were not allowed down to our cabins until after 3 PM. We also were not allowed to touch any food or plates or utensils either which caused huge lines in the buffet. I will say that if I ever hear "happy happy washy washy" one more time I am going to scream
Cabin was ok. I liked the shower but that is about it. Balcony was tiny. Steward was friendly and accomodating. Refrigerator was locked and unusable.
