Welcomed with champagne - forgot my phone - welcomed again with champagne -- how can that not be a great start to a cruise. The service was wonderful from the first minute to last with a small exception on the shore excursion. I admit I was concerned about service & attitude since the gratuities are collected daily automatically -- but not to worry. From the room steward to the waitstaff in the dining rooms & other public venues, nice smiles. Officers stopped to say hello & chat. Pleasant atmosphere. The Cruise Director, Sue Demming set a friendly tone for the entertainment -- we loved her.

Entertainment - the production shows were a bit dated but the performers good. Liked the comedy, Dave Burleigh, Loved the rock band, Stingrays, Loved the jazzband, Dukeland - interesting vocal interpretations, and the String Quartet at the Cova. No matter what your taste, there was something to please you.

Took advantage of nature (whales) lecture - enjoyed it. Also did a food challenge seminar - lots of fun.

Cabin Review

Lots of closet & drawer space. Good location on ship. Was surprised that the walls seemed thin & we could hear our neighbors (I guess they could hear us too?) I knew there would be bunk beds (which we did not need) -- but I didn't think I would be hitting my head on it (I did a couple of times) & bumped my ankle on the little wall that juts out near the bunk bed.
