Chose this cruise because it suited our dates and we were able to get a cabin in The Haven.
We are not fans of large ships but since we got into Haven which is a smallish enclave with its own facilities we thought to give it a try. We only left the boat once in Tortola and remained on board during the sea days - very quiet and relaxing. Because we were not on decks 15-16 where the Haven is located, we had long waits for the elevators and it was a very long way from our cabin to the nearest elevator. Not recommended for mobility issues.
Embarkation was made difficult because we had arrived later than expected due to a serious road accident which slowed us down. No one greeted us at the boat and we had difficulty getting information as to where to check in, etc. Getting off this giant ship was truly a zoo... huge lines of people, massive crowds, - definitely not our thing!
This was a forward cabin at the very front of the ship and had, in addition to a fairly spacious main cabin, a separate bedroom. The cabin was very well laid out and comfortable.
However, the position at the very front made it very noisy when the ship stopped at port at 6 a.m. As well, painters worked on the deck facing us with very smelly paint and also right under our bedroom window. The smell was sickening!
The food in the dining room was very good but we were not impressed with two of the three special restaurants. The seafood blue ocean was excellent, but the steakhouse and the Italian one were good but not great. The main attraction of this NCL boat for us was the crew and the excellent staff. Service was truly outstanding.
