This was our third time on the Koningsdam and sixth on Holland America. I noticed changes which were not for the better. There are no Purell stands outside of the main dining room and the Lido Market. I thought they had been there before. There are washing stations inside the Lido, but very few people use them,
No one comes around with a tray of pastries and croissants anymore at breakfast. You have to ask. There is no jam on the table at breakfast anymore. You have to ask. When the dining room is open for lunch, there is no bread on the table anymore. You have to ask. At the Grand Dutch Cafe, you are given a tiny bowl for dipping sauces when you order French fries. Your two fingers can circle the bowl, it is so small. That is fine for dipping sauces. One morning at breakfast in the dining room, I ordered cottage cheese and fruit. The cottage cheese came in the same bowl that is used for dipping sauces in the Grand Dutch Cafe.
The hours of the shows have changed. They are now 6:30 and 8:30 instead of 8 and 10. This is very inconvenient you have late dining. There were a couple of nights without shows. There are no more big productions with singers and dancers. There is a dance troupe. The scenery is all done with lights.
The cabin was very nice. The bathroom is rather small. The room attendants did a good job.
There is a pool and shops. There is no place to go if you leave the area.
