Being a Travel Agent and have sailed on many cruise lines, i found this particular ship to be the worst i have ever experienced. Actually we hated it ☹ but however we loved the Divina and the Orchestra .. Here you go: Food was terrible and the service was awful- they no longer have bus boys so the waiter does it all. They only have (1) dinning room with 3 different dinner times- they had us at 7:15 which was okay. The only food they had was on the buffet- usually they have some sandwich/pizza or desert stations at various locations within the ship they had none. They had the same food each day at the buffet for breakfast and lunch. We had lunch in the dinning room one day and they would not serve us the desert until everyone in the dinning room was ready for desert.. then they bring it all up at once- which was crazy- we did not wait for it. We did eat at the Steak House but it was pricey $47.00 pp with tax- and the meat was overcooked. The restaurant was very load as Latin music was blasting from outside - and they were not allowed to close the doors. Shows: for the Cirque du Soleil show you had to pay to see it $20pp or you cannot see it- we paid it but it was only 30 minutes and was not worth it.. You have to make reservations for every show and if you miss it-you can not go again. – the show room is very small with no balconies so seats are limited. We went to 2 other shows – they were okay but again very short and nothing like the Divina or Royal C. Music at the pool was all Latin music and very loud. There was no place on the ship that was peaceful and quiet. A big part of the of the promenade is the Chocolate Store- but you had to buy it- nothing was free. Everyone on the ship was complaining as they have been on MSC prior and expected it to be the same- it had no Italian Flair to it at all- and they do not have a Italian Restaurant. The only place you could watch football was in the Irish Pub however they would not put the voice on the TV- everyone was complaining on Thanksgiving since that is a big football day- they simply said they could not put the voice on the TV.. the room had 4 small TV’s above the Bar and they would only put the game on 2 of them- they would not change the channel on the other 2TV’s in spite of everyone complaining. Rooms were okay- they stopped putting tissues in the room – you had to use toilet paper. No bars of soap or hair conditioner- they did not do the towel animals either ☹ Pictures are a disaster total unorganized and dumped on piles on tables and you had to go one by one. The Midship was pretty with the ceiling changing colors- but they did not have the different rooms to go into with entertainment. Getting off the ship with a tender was horrible- the machine broke to scan your bags when you return and they had everyone standing in line a good hour until they fixed the machine – it was really crazy.. we went Western – Belize was awful- they have had many accidents with the tour buses- and several people died from our cruise and Carnival- google MSC Belize deadly accidents- there are several. That port is dangerous. They had over 1100 kids on this sailing and they were running everywhere – all hours-3am up and down the halls at night- they had no security for that. Honestly we felt we were on a Carnival line and then we found out the Capitan was from Carnival line. I can go on and on- we were disappointed as we really loved MSC prior to this one ☹ I would never go on this ship again- or recommend it to my customers. I was embarrassed with my guests a party of 12 on this sailing. I felt bad for the staff as they are overworked and moral was down. You will not an employee with a smile on their face.
