Sail Date: Nov 2019

We chose this cruise because it sailed from Tampa and we wanted to just get away for a week. Embarkation was easy, because we are Emerald and can bypass some lines. We had a large balcony stateroom, which was fine....except for the filth on the sheer drapes at the balcony door. They were grimy and actually crunchy to the touch.

We were Anytime Dining, since we had booked fairly recently. Luckily, we chose to eat in the specialty dining rooms for three nights, so we had 3 excellent meals. The Asian restaurant, the steak house and the Italian restaurant all had wonderful food and excellent service. Service in the MDR was also excellent, but the food was spotty. We actually ate upstairs at the buffet on the last night and found it to be very good. Breakfasts and lunches at the buffet were very good: many choices, including lots of fresh salads for lunch. Coffee onboard was excellent.

We booked no excursions, as we've been in the western Caribbean many times. Truthfully, we were sadly disappointed overall with the RCCL on this cruise.
