We knew we would love the Galapagos, but we didn't know how much! My husband, my son and I shared cabin XS 500 on Xpedition and had a fantastic time. The ship focused on the activities, including snorkeling and hiking and we packed activities into each day. We were tired but happy when we got home. The crew and amenities were great and we feel we got good value for our money. I would go to the Galapagos on Celebrity again any time! We're planning Outer Loop for next time and we want to find a way to Scuba Dive, which we did not get to do with Xpedition. The ship itself was very small, with 96 passengers on our sailing. This was a great small ship experience, which enabled us to get to know our fellow passengers as well as getting to know crew members. We didn't spend much time doing any of the evening activities as we were tired and relaxed and wanted to check out our photos of the day and get ready for the next day. This is an active cruise, with alot of physical movement....up and down stairs, in and out of transport boats, up and down hills, in and out of wetsuits, in and out of the water, snorkeling, hiking, and not alot of sitting and watching the scenery go by.

Cabin Review

Xpedition Suite with Veranda

The Veranda really made this cruise for us. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning, watching the islands go by and the beautiful ocean. We saw dolphins and turtles and penguins from our veranda, as well as flowing lava! Definitely worth it to have a veranda with such great views! We were often tired after a day of snorkeling, hiking and swimming, so we often relaxed there with a drink in the evening. The room itself felt a bit cramped with 3 adults (my son was 21) but it was workable since we get along well. It would have been plenty of room for 2 with a seating area instead of 2 large beds.
