We saw an ad and decided to call and do it! This cruise happened to fall on our 50th Anniversary and we wanted to give our self a gift. We booked. I do believe, being our first time to use Viking, we spent much more than we maybe should have and did not do everything we could have. After you go once, though, it is easier to understand the ins and outs in order to save money on the next one.
Once in baggage, we were greeted by the Viking Staff and everything was handled from that moment on. We did a pre-cruise stay in Florence so we were taken straight to the Villa. We had a host guide and she was awesome. Our daily trips out and were seamless each day thanks to Roberta.
We were taken by motorcoach to the port close to Rome and boarded our ship with absolute ease. We were allowed to go to our cabin almost immediately. It was neat, clean, streamlined. Our balcony was great. The refrigerator was fill of drinks, water, spirits. Since we had bought the drink package, it was refurbished as soon as we used something. Our cabin host was Hery and he was always asking if we needed anything. Our room was kept spotless.
Our cabin was very streamlined and we enjoyed it so much. The king size bed and a comfortable couch with a chair and coffee table. Everything we needed was in the room and it was cleaned several times a day. There was awesome service from the steward and cleaning people. I had clothes go out for laundering and they did an awesome job. We did have a problem with our bathroom but they immediately worked on that to solve the problem.
