Choose this Princess Cruise because of the convenient port, consistent quality of service of the cruise line, and time over a holiday. Overall it was purchased at a higher rate due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but this was expected for a high demand cruise. We've enjoyed the Princess Regal in the past and it's a great ship and hopefully soon will get a refresh of the cabins.
The medallion token and application were terrible. Incredibly frustrating with the lack of staff knowledge pre-cruise and during to figure out how to link our shipments in multiple cabins using the app. In addition, the medallion tokens stopped working multiple times and we had to wait in long lines at the front desk to replace. (the medallion support team could not print new medallions, so you would wait in line for support and then have to go to the front desk and wait in line again for a new medallion)
I felt like I was at work, troubleshooting the medallion and application technology!
good balcony cabin on the Dolphin level. Starting to show some signs of age and could use a refresh. (ie. carpet, bathroom)
very busy port over thanksgiving holiday. the ship returned to a different location away from our original parking garage and bus transportation was provided by princess to reach our vehicle. It took 2 hours to disembark as a walk-off starting in line at 6:30am. (this has never happened to us before at Port Everglades and I suspect it was due to the holiday plus construction of the new terminal)
relaxing and a lot of beach/swim time
