The last cruise we were on was on an Oceania ship. We were spoiled and were not expecting that much from Princess. We were pleasantly surprised as it was lovely. The food on Princess is not as yummy as Oceania but everything was pretty good. The turkey dinner on Thanksgiving was surprisingly good considering how many people ordered it.
We chose this cruise because our kids live in San Francisco and we were able to visit with them and then take the ship home to Florida.
Embarkation was a breeze. Got on the ship around 1pm, got right on and our mini suite was ready.
Loved the promenade. Many new ships don't have one anymore.
Our mini suite was a good choice for us. 15 days and had plenty of room for our things.
Love sitting on the balcony.
Didn't go to any shows but did enjoy different music around the ship.
Food was pretty good but the dining room could have a few more choices. We had anytime dinner and were seated with no problem every night.
Had room service for breakfast most mornings. Wish they had more hot items, but if you write them in, most of the time they bring them. I wrote in scrambled eggs and toast and received them most of the time but not all. No big problem though.
Hard working crew. Deserve extra tipping if you like particular waiters, steward, etc.
Didn't go on any excursions for personal reasons but got off and walked around most ports.
Disembarkation was as quick as embarkation except the lines for customs took about 1/2 hour. Don't count on making an early flight out just in case though.
There were only a few kids on board. All were too young for school.
All in all we were very happy with Princess and will most likely cruise with them again.
Loved the mini suite. Plenty of room for two. Loved having the two flat screen TV's. Husband watched sports and I watched anything BUT sports ; )
Plenty of storage for our 15 day cruise. Cabin steward Milbert was wonderful.
