We chose this cruise because Princess had a sale on.
Princess advised us that Majestic Princess would be delayed and embarkation was to take place a few hours later than previously scheduled, the embarkation process went very well.
Disembarkation was seamless, we walked off, collected our luggage passed through customs in less than 20 minutes.
The ship is just fabulous, a couple of things though, the Princess Theatre’s seating is a little odd as from some seats we couldn't see all of the stage or the performers?
Also the seating arrangements in the Vista lounge could do with a re think, not enough seats and some are difficult to get in and out of.
We were given cabin D325 which is between the centre and forward elevators a very good location. The balcony and room seemed a little smaller than other cabins we have had in the past but no big deal.
Dining, there are so many options on this ship from specialty restaurants to the World Fresh Market Place.
The service and the steaks in the Crown Grill were outstanding.
Entertainment was first class Princess really pulled out all stops on the Majestic, from the production shows to the live music around the ship there was something happening all the time.
So many activities, Andrew the Cruise Director is doing a stellar job, things like the guitarist and bass player from the Princess Orchestra helping with the Ukulele class and one of the dancers/singers from the production team running the "Pop Choir", felt this gave the guests a closer connection to the ships company and probably took some pressure away from the Cruise Directors staff, a great innovation.
The discovery at sea star gazing enrichment activity can do with a lot of work.
The service all around the ship was wonderful.
A bit small but otherwise perfect
