The ship indeed is a technological marvel. The advanced features such as the virtual balcony, SeaPlex (which transformed into a bumper car arena, laser tag course, basketball court, badminton court, etc.), North Star, iFly simulator, Ripcord and many others were truly an experience.
The swimming pools were rather small and there were no water slides nor much play area for children.
The food however could have been much better. We were already bored of the food at Windjammers (buffet) by the second day. The Chinese, Japanese and Italian food served lacked taste and were subpar in my opinion. The only type of cuisine that was good was the Indian food and burgers. We also dined at the main dining hall, Solarium, etc. but all were not much different. We had a specialty dining at Jamie’s Italian and that lived up to expectations. Nevertheless, our experience were marred by a norovirus infection (which ended up affecting all our family). We noticed there were other cases of it when we went to the Medical Centre. One can only guess how many people were actually affected. Despite being very careful and constantly washing our hands as well as sanitizing them, we all still ended up contracting it.
As for the cabin, although we were in the Interior Stateroom, it didn’t feel crammed and all the furniture were well designed and of good quality.
