Initial Booking Experience: We chose NCL as our cruise line because it was good price, had "free" perks, and had the ability to finance the cruise payments over time. We had never done this so we were new to the process, and had no knowledge of cruising and what to look for other than what Google told us. NCL had the 5 free offers, so we chose Free Internet, Free Specialty Dining, Free Flights, Free Drinks, and Free Excursions. The internet was not free, it was limited. The Specialty Dining was for one evening for the two of us. The Free flights were with American Airlines, and weren't terrible, but downside is we didn't get notified of our itinerary until 45 days prior to cruise date. This made it difficult to plan and make arrangements. The free drinks were awesome, and unlimited from rail drinks up to top shelf all inclusive. The free excursions were not free, they were discounted. The offer was $50.00 off at each port docked at and it was per cabin, not per person. We had to pay for the excursions and then we received the discount after we returned from our excursions. We arranged for transfer service which ended up being a bus from the airport to the cruise ports. We checked our luggage at the cruise port, got in line and got checked in fairly quickly with no hiccups, but the signage directing you were to go was lacking and we had to ask. Remember we had never done this before and there were people everywhere so it was difficult to know or understand where we had to go. We were on the boat within 30 mins from arriving at port and because our rooms were not ready yet, we decided to go to the aft of the boat where the buffets were located. We ate lunch and had a few drinks and waited for them to announce the rooms were ready. The ship disembarked from the port shortly after 5pm from Miami and we were on our way to FL Keys/Key West. The Sun Set was gorgeous. Shortly after, we went up to our room to take a look and the cruise line delivered our luggage to our rooms around 8pm. The gift shops were only open when we are not docked as they are tax free and duty free and if they are docked they would have to charge taxes. Bring a power strip as the rooms only have 1 power outlet in them. Food/Dining: The buffets were good, the dining room had limited menu (at least for breakfast - we only went to dining room for breakfast once), Specialty dining we chose was the steakhouse, and it was ok. I had better steak/prime rib at a low price steakhouse at home. The buffet - there were 2 to chose from. One had many options and the other was more american food such as hot dogs, hamburgers, mac & cheese, and fresh fruit. Breakfast at the buffets were liquid eggs, omelet station, meat selection, and fresh fruit. They offered juice, water, milk and lemon-aid to drink. Soda/pop was at the bars. Soda and alcoholic drinks: For kids and adults who want no alcoholic and soda, you wait with the rest of the cruisers to get it.Not much for wait staff to assist with drinks, although they are there. Personally, I think they serve the ones who are giving the highest tips, and ignore the rest because we were only asked when the pool area wasn't busy or when we were at a show. I wonder why they dont have a fountain machine with the ability to scan your passenger card to get your own soda beverages. I mean, they offer a meeting for friends of Bill W, but dont make it easy for those people to obtain beverages. Overall, we were happy with our cruise, but disappointed on a few things.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony
Cabin B1
Small, but doable. Clean and nice looking. Bed was ok for comfort. Small sofa was used as luggage holder as there want much room to unpack clothes. Small closet had a couple drawers in it, but not enough for 4 days for 2 people.
