We scheduled this cruise for the itinerary that appealed to us, as a special way to celebrate our 40th anniversary. We have spoken to many people about the cruises they have taken, and no one has offered anything but positive feedback on their Viking experience.

The cruise did not disappoint. The trip began in Rome and ended in Barcelona. We selected many excursions and chose to keep busy exploring, and extended out stay in Rome. The transfers from and to airports and hotels were professional and seamless. The hotel in Rome was beautiful. Obviously Viking supplies the hotel with many guests, and we were treated well. It did not appear that Viking supplied assistance with touring Rome when we booked the cruise, so we made our own plans, which worked out fine. But there is a Viking representative in the hotel lobby who would have provided on site assistance.

The cruise was perfect in every way. Their staff treats the guests so kindly. The rooms are beautifully appointed with plenty of storage, lovely balcony which we rarely had time to use (our choice), very comfortable bed and linens, and a lovely bathroom. The ship is big enough to feel smooth on the water, but not so big that you feel lost.
