Trip Details
  • Sail Date: Jun 2019
  • Destination: the Baltic Sea
  • Cabin Type: Ocean View

One of our best cruises ever. Everyone must take this itinerary.

We combined with 7 night standard Baltic back to back.

Only 52 people on back to back. meet at 9 for new room cards

Recommend a few days in Copenhagen for sure

The Fjords, scenery were just spectacular.

get up early to watch sail ins and sail outs.

Had a guest lecturer Professor who hadn't even been to Norway, yet was speaking about it, recommended to CD they reconsider him.,

CD Davis was very subdued, not the job for him. Assistant was good

Bed very comfortable, small balcony was fine, ship a bit dated, but ok

old TV, internet ok, but pricey as usual

We were Diamond level, so enjoyed the benefits and evening reception in Windjammer. Was a large group so area extended to all of Windjammer

Abbamax ABBA show was great.

Blue Nose ceremony (ice on neck) if you wish. when we cross the Arctic Circle, get a certificate as well.

Sean Alexander illusionist, very good

Ship orchestra fabulous, did their own show Glen Miller

Violinist, Ana Liza Ching, was super

Stage shows were good, Last one was stage/screen but enjoyed Vibeology show more

Cabin Review

Ocean View

large window, some slight distoration when viewing outside.

bed excellent, room has some dated furniture, but all functional.

TV could be upgraded, but need to wait for next drydock likely.

lots of storage space. we travel light, so no problem

always recommend to take lots of strong magnets to hold up stuff. Walls are all steel.

clothpins also useful to take along with your own alarm clock or use smartphone.

lots of towels when required, ice available.

mini frig also available.

no shampoo/conditioner bottles, just dispenser (better for environment anyways)

always come into town early

Suggest one arrives early or stay after cruise in Copenhagen.

Lots to see and do. easy to walk city, you can also do hop on hop off.

Easy to take Metro from airport into Central, but need to drag bags a bit, depending on where you stayed. We stayed at AC hotel Bella Sky, very modern, close to Metro, near airport. Tivoli gardens a must visit, don't need to go on rides, can buy just entrance ticket. Carlsberg brewery has free tour, but was closed for construction. we walked around to various gardens. several Palaces close by. Rosenborg, Amalienborg and Chrisianborg. Little Mermaid, too touristy. harbour tour is highly recommended. Walk up the round tower for sure. Easy ramps. Stroget is Europe's longest pedestrian shopping street. Very interesting, lots of high end shops, plus LEGO store. We took the bus/train into central station, another nice way to arrive

had lunch by Nyhavn, people watch, boats, nice atmosphere

Mount Dalsnibba

walk around falls, incredible scenery, road to Mount, was twisty, some snow around still. Views super, then also drove up Eagle Rd to fjord lookout

We took fjord tour on our own, a super trip

closeup to 7 Sisters and Suitor waterfalls

Sailaway and sail in are must sees

Walk around town is fascinating, old town is a must
