This was our 3rd cruiseFirst aboard Crystal Harmony (Caribean), second on the Australis (Chilean Fiords) andallthough the other 2, were excelent I cannot rate this one but excellent too.
It was different but we chose that way. It started unfortunatelly with a 3 day locked up tour atour hotel in Barcelona. We could not visit the city due to some local riots which prevented us to visit specially the famous Gaudi Chucrh (Sagrada Famulia)
Luckily the hotel was great (Eurostars Grand Marina Barcelona) and time passed up rapidly.
The location is superb as our ship docked right beside the hotel so we did not walk more than a few steps in order to embark.
Our Club Continent Club Suite was splendid. Penty of space and had a private balcony.
The private butler and other amenities, champagne, sparklin water, and fine services were atonishing.
We visired Marseille, Toulon, Montecarlo, Livorno, Florencia, Elba and finally Rome.
Although we did not take any guided tour, our "walking on our own" visits were sufficientfor people of our age., bordering 80s
The cruise definitively is not for children but excellent for retired couples who do not care about cruiseships with bells and whistles plus casinos and shows.
English language is a must.
Congratulations Azamara.
Excellent by all means
