Can you imagine- 14 day cruise with 12 port days and Norwegian in all their wisdom decides that instead of doing noisy repairs, and I mean noisy repairs- hammering on pipes, drilling, (we could hear worker putting tools in his bucket he was so close under our bathroom vent). Instead of doing these repairs during one of the 12 port days when the ship is empty, they decided that they would start at 8pm and work till the wee hours of the morning- for 3 nights- outrageous- who decides these things???? After complaining the first night they decided that a letter warning us of this disruption was sufficient- Ridiculous! Pulling into Kotor, Montenegro it is one of the most beautiful fjiords to sight see as you enter- 2 hours of bliss- NOT!!!- they decdided to shut the 270 degree window GALAXY lounge in order to facilitate some ridiculous tendering system for children- the average age on this cruise was 50+ yet they decided to treat us like 10 year olds. Who makes these decisions?? Cancelling an overnight in Venice- they took us to Ravenna and as the previous review states they providsed 2 buses to take off 2000 Px-- 2hr waits with a bus line that allows their drivers to just drive away for an hour union lunch break leaving us stranded for 2 hour waits- unbeleivable. My question is they new that Venice was flooded so why cruise all the way there to decide that they would waste a day driving all the way back south????? The food was not bad I must say, the decor is really tired considering it is from 20 years ago. Shogun restaraunt was a nice surprise - the entertainment was very amateur, their treatmment of smokers was atrocious- they have a smoking room that cigarettes are not allowed- they pinballed us up and down from the cold-80 km an hour wind and rain to a 20 seat venue on the Lido deck and policed it like little kids, yet never cleaned it- my wife cleaned the area many times, the first hour on the ship, a staff member was in the smokers faces giving trouble becuase we sat at tables with ashtrays that he says were out of his constantly changing borders. Welcome aboard! The smell of sewage was intermitent in the staterooms- the lies from customer service were rampant which is the most frustrating thing to deal with- just tell us the truth. I have never been on a cruise where so many bad decisions were made on the treatment of the passengers- it was only Norwegians pocketbook that mattered. The outrageous prices for water and $4.50 for a coffee were appalling Having to pay for minor port transfers that I have had for free on other cruiselines was insulting. $75.00 for Bingo with a prize of $165.00, Of course our cabin steward was excellent and without these hard workers there would not have been any redeeming qualities. The cabin was your standard inside cabin- older but really no complaints other than the noise and smell. Many Norwegian repeat cruisers were commenting that they would never cruise NCL again and after wirtnessing their greed and poor decisions on 2 cruises out of 3 is making us feel the same way. I just want to know who made these decisions????

Cabin Review

Inside
Cabin IF
Inside Cabin on the 4th deck-midship for the first time, actually was very surprising at the stability compared to higher decks we usually stay on. The location for embarking and disembarking were excellent and very convenient. Comments on cabins should mean nothing after the ship gets a total new look after jan 2020.
