We embarked from Miami on an 11 day Panama Canal cruise, following a day of exploration in that beautiful city. Our embarkation was fast and easy, the embarkation crew was well practiced and friendly. The ship was in good repair and had been well prepared in a short time for our arrival. Our cabin was clean, comfortable and was kept that way throughout the cruise by an attentive steward. The bed was fair, but the sofa bed was quite uncomfortable for the 3rd guest in the room and intruded into the room enough that it was near impossible to go out onto the balcony when made out. The dining was fair to good in the buffet and the staff attentive and a joy to interact with, but there was not enough variation for an 11 day cruise, the dining rooms were average and pretty much as expected being seasoned cruisers. The specialty restaurants were overall excellent, well received by everyone in our party and a highlight of our trip. The entertainment was fair at best, there were not nearly as many bands/acts or the variety expected, as on previous trips with Norwegian or other cruise lines and the shows were much smaller and in the opinion of everyone in our party not very good. The service was good throughout the ship and the staff were excellent at all times. the ports were overall enjoyable but several had little to do at or near the ports themselves other than take excursions. The ports of call were Cartagena, Colombia (Very short time in port), Panama, (Gatun Lake) and Colon, Cartegena, Columbia, Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, Harvest Caye, Belize, Roatan, Honduras (nothing in port), Costa Maya, Mexico

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

A nice day at the beach with some well prepared vendors included.

Roatan

Very little to do in the port other than the usual port shopping area if you did not take an excursion.
