Cabin: Deluxe Balcony

14th cruise with princess but first time on the Royal. Kudos to bar staff members Joanne and Svetlana at the wheelhouse and crooners respectively. They did an outstanding job and were very friendly. Also their male colleagues at the same bars were equally good – just can’t remember their names!

Wait staff in the main dining room (Allegro 2nd seating) did a great job. Service was prompt and accurate.

Particularly liked the retreat pool area. Very serene.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Our cabin was a deluxe balcony. Balcony was very small (same as regular balcony cabin) but the cabin was a good size with a 2-seater sofa. Kind of like a cut-down mini suite. Storage seemed a lot less than on other ships such as the Ruby but OK once we adapted to it. Our cabin steward was outstanding. The lifeboats stick out from the side of the ship so you cannot look down directly at the water from any balcony. Not a big deal but surprising.
