SAVE YOUR MONEY AND ON A DIFFERENT CRUISE LINE!! Our family of 70+ decided to celebrate a milestone wedding anniversary plus birthdays of our loved ones. Many of us have cruised on other cruise lines before. We have collectively decided to never board an MSC vessel again!! Given the videos we saw about MSC, we approached our cruise with great anticipation only to be shocked by the gross lack of operational excellence and customer service for such a vessel. The vessel itself is very nice with all the features you want for family members. Service was terrible, unfortunately! Rude wait staff, no one answers phones at the front desk when you have a question, 24 hour room service does not respond or answer calls after 8pm, no tissues or toilet paper available (finally got a roll after over an hour wait), prepaid excursions were canceled without advanced notice, no substitute for our second stop to Ocean Cay (even though reports months before indicated it would not be ready), and poor quality entertainment. To top off an incredibly poor experience aboard the ship - the food quality was disappointing and subpar. Not much variety for the buffet and if you get the drink package, they force you to purchase packages for everyone in your cabin. Spa services on board advertised packages that suddenly became unavailable at booking forcing you to spend more money. This was so sad!! Again, book an MSC cruise at your own risk! You’ve been warned!
