This is our 2nd trip on this ship. 90% of our experience was very good. Just a few pointers for those venturing onto Celebrity for the 1st time.
>We booked Aqua Class, which means you can use a spa and eat at Blu. Not worth the money. The food at Blu was pretty ordinary compared to the regular dining room. It was actually disappointing because I just expected an upgrade on the menu. Save your money and book a specialty dining night.
>Be sure to book at a time when you get perks. We got drink packages and onboard credits included which was really nice. Unless you're snooty, the regular drink package works just fine. You can print a copy of the brands available and take it with you.
Very nice room...good storage in bathroom, sliding shower door was nice. Balcony sliding door is a plus. The water in the room and the mini bar are not free. Room was quiet at night. We were near the elevators, forward, which is super convenient.
I'm a cap guy so the best place to get a souvenir cap. Couple of cool waterfront bars to sit and relax, overlooking the bay and the ships.
Decent shopping out of all the Mexican ports. Nothing overly special....prices are in Pesos a lot of time so know the conversion rate when you go
Key West was out first stop and if you've never been, it can be a lot of fun. The little Key West tour train was $64 for two. Way overpriced...but then I've been there before. You're better off spending that money on Duval street. Hogsbreath Saloon is a must if you've never been
Went the night before. Eat at Seasons 52 - one of the best filets I have ever had. Pretty reasonable prices and nice ambiance.
