We choose NCL for our first cruise because of their beautiful ships and the free offers. Our embarkation port was Manhattan NY which was only about 2 1/2 hours from our home. The process of parking and checking in went very smoothly. The price to park at the pier was $200 but well worth it. Once you park you take an elevator down and your right in the terminal. The process of boarding the ship went smoothly. Once we were on the ship we went to Taste(one of the main dining room) to eat lunch, which was very good. Then we explored the Ship it was truly beautiful and very clean. Our stateroom was available around 1:30, it was spacious and clean. We ate at 3 of the specialty restaurants(this was one of the free offers)Teppanyaki, Cagney’s Steak House and Moderno. The food was AMAZING! The portions were huge you definitely won’t leave hungry. The serves were very nice and accommodating. The complimentary restaurants were also very good, we never had a bad meal. The entertainment was also very good. They had several shows but we only went to the Crew Talent Show and Choir of a Man, we enjoyed both of them and would definitely see them again. The disembarkation was very congested but I feel they had a good system for getting everyone off the ship. They have color tags and if everyone followed their colors it probably would have went smoother. This is not the cruise lines fault but was frustrating. We had an amazing time and can’t wait to book another cruise with NCL.
